Come celebrate our voices through harmony singing in community with 3 x experienced song leaders bringing original & community songs for connection, enjoyment & inspiration.
All songs will be taught by ear by three song leaders in a relaxed and inclusive way
All voices and abilities welcome. As with the nature of singing online. None of the participants voices are heard, only the leaders. A perfect opportunity to have a sing for people who are nervous about singing in front of people and also so perfect for any experienced singers who want to learn new songs & sing alongside these two amazing guests.
Tembre has been hosting We May Sing events since May 2022. Inviting guests from around the world to connect us in song. It is with so much joy to welcome Barbara McAfee to our event for the first time. An inspiration to the song leaders world , you are in for a treat. So lovely to be welcoming Jody to our event for the first time also. A genuine heart felt addition to our evening.

Tembre has been leading men, women and children in song in Ireland for over 23 years, celebrating each and everyones unique voice & ability to connect through community singing. Tembre leads and holds space in a natural organic way, creating a safe, held and fun space, inclusive of heart and exploration. Tembre has 20 years of being involved in group process based work from healing camps, trainings, supervision and women’s groups, for support and empowerment. Tembre has a love and passion for singing and harmonies that is accessible able to all. For over 23 years Tembre has led Communitie choirs and workshops. Since 2020 Tembre has been leading regular online events being a resource to many all over the world. She released her first songbook of original songs for harmony singing. Tembre will be hosting this event from her home in Portugal where she lives with her family.

Lea Morris  :

Lea was raised in Baltimore, singing with the Jones Family Gospel Singers. When she discovered the acoustic guitar as a teenager, she began teaching herself to play by writing songs. Having shared the stage with luminaries including Odetta, Mavis Staples, and Dar Williams, her sound seamlessly blends gospel, jazz, country, and R&B into her own style – SoulFolk. Lea works with preschoolers, elders, incarcerated, special needs and other marginalized groups, bringing the joy of singing and composition as a way of building confidence and community.

Heather Houston:

Heather Houston is passionate about uplifting hearts, freeing voices, transforming lives, and building strong, loving communities through the power of singing. She spreads her magic through her 20+years of international song circle leading, private vocal coaching, and her on-line offerings – The Art of Mindful Singing, S.H.E. Sings, and Sisters in Harmony Song and Chant Leader Training. You can now join her every Monday night on Zoom for a 2-hour Sisters in Harmony Global community song circle with guest artists!
Heather recently released her second solo album Sisters of the Moon which features the ethereal voices of her 40-voice women’s choir Yala Lati. Her first solo album, Prayers for the Water is a ZMR Top 10 album. You can find Heather’s music on all of the streaming platforms and for download on her website.
Before Covid times, Heather was one of the featured song circle leaders at the annual Singing on the Edge retreat at the Esalen Institute, Song Village in the Santa Cruz Mountains, SongFest in Los Angeles and Sacred Sound Meets Sacred Nature retreat at Pema Osel Ling. She also offered annual Sisters in Harmony Retreats at Skyote Mountain and Om Oasis in the Santa Cruz mountains, and taught a weekly Free Your Voice class to the guests at 1440 Multiversity. She is holding strong the vision of circling and singing together in person one day again soon!
