DESCRIPTION:So pleased to announce a new Community Choir being started in Castelo branco Central Portugal in February \nMe and my family moved to Central Portugal in june 2022 from Ireland where I have been leading communities in song for over 20 years. \nIt is nourishing to start a fresh and meet new people and sing with new voices for connection and fun. \nJoin us in community\, singing songs to soothe\, inspire and connect us at this time. \nI will lead you in community songs I have gathered over the 20 years singing and cllaborating with other song leaders in the Uk\, US and Ireland & I will be bringing original songs that I have written inspired by nature\, human connection and our amazing voices. \n\n  \nStarting in February and will happen fortnightly at the same time and same place. \nTuesday evening sessions fortnightly  \nStarting Tuesday 14th Feb  \n \n19:00- 20.30 \nEstidio8 in Castelo Branco \nLocation will be sent once you have made a booking. \n\n\n€10 per person per session \nBooking essential \n\nAll voices  welcome – no singing experience needed. \n\nAll songs are taught in a relaxed\, inclusive way by Tembre. DESCRIPTION:‘Weaving Voices’\nSong Leader Training 2023 with Tembre de Carteret & Una McCann\n  \nTembre & Una are delighted to be offering Weaving Voices training for 2023 and to announce the dates and some testimonials from past participants. \n\nA unique and new Song leader training led by two renowned\, inspiring and highly experienced song leaders from County Clare & Belfast\nStarting in March through to May 2023\nDiscover\, share & nurture your natural ability to lead communities in song\n\n\nWhat ‘Weaving Voices’ training can offer:\n\nHow to Connect with your natural ability to lead people in harmony\nVocal & Facilitation skills to help you grow in confidence as a leader\nWhat to sing? – choose material that suits you and the group\nExplore composition & improvisation\nHow to hold an inclusive\, healing & heartfelt space through connection & enjoyment for all\nHow to facilitate singing sessions online\n\n  \n  \nIncluded in the training : \n\n2 x ‘in person’ training weekends in Ireland – May & September 2023\n3 x Saturday online Training Days (held on Zoom) covering running an online session\, Voice care\, basic music theory\, sharing materials\, techniques and equipment advice.\nGroup peer support throughout the 4 months\nPrivate online mentoring with Una or Tembre\nAxcess to all Tembre & Una’s public workshops in person & online for free during the training\n\n\nDetails of the training:\n\n2 x ‘in person’ residential weekends\n1st weekend :\nStarts 6pm Friday 26th May – 28th may\n2nd weekend:\nStarts 6pm Friday 29th/30th September & 1st October.\nEach weekend is hosted in a private Georgian house in County Meath\, Ireland.\nAccommodation & food is included in the residential weekends.\n3 x Saturday online training mornings\nSaturday\n\n17th June\n26th August\n9th September\n\n\n\nMentoring:\nDuring the training each trainee will be able to avail of one mentoring session with Una or Tembre online or in person.\nFree participation:\nAccess to participate for free in any of Tembre or Una’s public workshops online or in person during the duration of the training.\nRequirements:\n\nDeposit of €300  (of which €200 is non refundable) \n\nWe ask that each participant has had some singing experience prior to the training\, a brief written introduction will be requested.\nPlaces are limited to a max of 14 singers.\nBoth men and women are welcome. Tembre is orginal from the Uk and travelled to Ireland when she was 11 with her family. Raised in nature\, family and music throughout her teenage years inspired her to become a community song leader at just 21 years old when she first became of mother. \nTembre has been leading men\, women and children in song in Ireland for 20 years. Throughout these years she has been choir leader to many communities\, workshop leader\, music educator and mentor. She holds an MA in Community Music from the Irish academy of Music and Dance. As a singer she feels blessed that she has been able to have music as her passion and her job for so many years\, leading communities\, families\, choirs and students in song. Now leading virtual online. Her roles are as a choir leader\, community musician\, mentor\, early years music educator and performer has brought heart\, spirit and joy to many through the years and especially since Lockdown in 2020. Tembre leads in a natural organic way\, creating a safe\, held and fun space\, inclusive of heart and exploration. Tembre has a love and passion for singing\, easy melodies and harmonies that are accessible to all. Tembre brings a wealth of passion\, knowledge and spirit to this training that she has founded and created alongside her fellow song leader Una McCann. No experience needed\, all songs taught by ear in a call and response method.
