Join us for a joyful weekend of singing and basket weaving in the welcoming surroundings of The Causeway Village Hall.
Spend two nourishing creative days in a supportive community of women, making a beautiful basket each day with your own hands under the guidance of Joanna, while immersing yourself in uplifting harmony and circle songs led by Tembre. Together we will create a space of creativity, connection, wellbeing and fun for both our hands and our hearts.
Working with willow and foraged natural materials, alongside community and original songs inspired by nature, this weekend brings together two experienced facilitators who share a love of creativity, collaboration and connection.
Ticket Includes
- All weaving materials.
- Two full days of tuition with Joanna and Tembre.
- Unlimited refreshments throughout the weekend, including tea, coffee, herbal teas and homemade sweet treats.
- A simple but nourishing homemade lunch of soup and fresh bread on both days.

Tembre · Community Song Leader
Tembre is an experienced community song leader who creates warm, welcoming and inclusive spaces where everyone can experience the joy of singing, regardless of previous experience or confidence.
She brings a beautiful collection of community songs and original compositions inspired by the Earth, creativity, belonging and connection. Her relaxed, encouraging teaching style helps participants reconnect with the natural voice they were born to sing with.
All songs are taught by ear, making them accessible to everyone. No one sings alone—we sing together, weaving our voices into nourishing harmonies while our hands weave beautiful baskets. You are truly in safe singing hands.

Joanna Callaghan · Willow Weaving
Joanna Callaghan is a basket weaver, seat weaver and fine artist whose work explores the relationship between people and the natural environment.
She creates art using locally foraged natural materials, experimenting with painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, weaving and natural dyes. Her collaborative practice invites people to reconnect with landscape, ecology and traditional craft through creative exploration.
Joanna regularly leads workshops in natural environments, encouraging participants to discover the beauty, abundance and inspiration found in the natural world.
Throughout this weekend she will guide everyone in creating two beautiful willow baskets using traditional techniques and natural materials, while collaborating with Tembre to create an immersive experience where weaving and singing naturally support one another.
Joanna is currently undertaking a PhD in Fine Art at Birmingham City University.

Cancellation Policy
As this is a small, intimate gathering with only 14 places available, every booking plays an important part in making the event possible.
- Cancellations made 30 days or more before the event will receive a full refund, less a £50 administration/payment processing fee.
- Cancellations made 14–29 days before the event will receive a 50% refund.
- Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 14 days before the event are non-refundable unless your place can be filled from the waiting list.
- If we are able to fill your place, we will happily refund your payment, less the £50 administration fee.
- You are welcome to transfer your booking to another person at no additional cost. Please let us know their name and contact details before the event.
- If, for any reason, Tembre and Joanna need to cancel the event, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid.
