Tembre de Carteret:

Tembre is hosting the We May Sing Zoom events from her home in County Clare.

Tembre has been leading men, women and children in song in Ireland for 19 years. As a singer she feels blessed that she has been able to have music as her passion and her job. Her roles are as a choir leader, community musician, mentor, early years music educator and performer.

Tembre leads in a natural organic way, creating a safe, held and fun space, inclusive of heart and exploration, sharing sounds from accomplished song writers for community singing and her own compositions. Tembre has a love and passion for singing, easy melodies and harmonies that is accessible able to all. She will be hosting this event for us all from her home in County Clare where she lives with her family.

Susie Ro:

Susie Ro has been surrounded by music and singing all her life and because of her father renowned community choir leader and composer Nick Prater and his work, harmony filtered into her understanding very gracefully. Susie has gone on to establish herself as a renowned workshop leader, vocal coach, teacher trainer, ceremonial musician and the proud producer of her first professional solo album ‘ A thousand leaves’. Along with day workshops Susie runs weekend residential courses in improvisation and song co-creation, teacher training courses for aspiring voice workshop leaders, week long ‘SongShine’ intensive singing retreats abroad, as well as being an internationally gigging musician.

Susie leads singing workshops in the UK and internationally which are open to people of all singing abilities. She shares songs from across the globe in full harmony, including her own compositions and arrangements.

She has hand picked songs over the years that have the ability to unlock the voice and open the heart in a powerful way, yet are easy to learn and are all taught by ear. The songs come from around the world and from many traditions, and include songs of joy, peace and freedom in English and other languages.

Patricia Norton:

Patricia believes in singing for well-being. She has studied songleading with Lisa Littlebird, improvisation with Rhiannon, voice with Judi Vinar and others, composing with Alice Parker. She started the Juneberry Choral Singing School in 2012, to create a “way in” to choral singing for people who believed they could not sing. It grew rapidly, and in 2016 she chose to merge with a local music school.

In addition to a 75+ member community chorus, Patricia has offered Vocal Exploration and Choral Skills classes, Circle singing, and started a workplace choral group for staff in the local hospital.

During the COVID-19 shutdown, Patricia went online, and with the support of her dog snoring under the piano, she hosts Pocket Songs for learning short, satisfying songs, and Vocal Soundings for improvisation and growth.
