Some more testimonials from the 2022 training.
‘Weaving Voices training is truly wonderful. Learning new songs and singing in harmony is such an uplifting and magical experience. Knowing that we will then be able to transfer those skills to others is a delight. I liked everyone on the course. We are from all over the island of Ireland. We had songs, stories, and craic to share with each other. The training was gentle yet thorough, with everyone taking a turn to teach each other. We were in a beautiful peaceful place. I felt like the only things that existed were trees, grass, sheep, and our harmonious voices’

Song Leaders:

Tembre de Carteret:

Tembre is a song leader living and leading in County Clare Ireland where she lives with family. Tembre is orginal from the Uk and travelled to Ireland when she was 11 with her family. Raised in nature, family and music throughout her teenage years inspired her to become a community song leader at just 21 years old when she first became of mother.

Tembre has been leading men, women and children in song in Ireland for 20 years. Throughout these years she has been choir leader to many communities, workshop leader, music educator and mentor. She holds an MA in Community Music from the Irish academy of Music and Dance. As a singer she feels blessed that she has been able to have music as her passion and her job for so many years, leading communities, families, choirs and students in song. Now leading virtual online. Her roles are as a choir leader, community musician, mentor, early years music educator and performer has brought heart, spirit and joy to many through the years and especially since Lockdown in 2020. Tembre leads in a natural organic way, creating a safe, held and fun space, inclusive of heart and exploration. Tembre has a love and passion for singing, easy melodies and harmonies that are accessible to all. Tembre brings a wealth of passion, knowledge and spirit to this training that she has founded and created alongside her fellow song leader Una McCann. Together they wish to inspire and support singers to step into their passion as song leaders.

Una McCann:

Una is a musician and choir leader based in Belfast where she works with various groups of singers of all ages. A firm belief that ‘music is a joy that everyone should access’ underpins her work. Una arranges and adapts material to suit the people that she works with so that everyone can participate, no matter their level of experience. Although new to the world of on-line choirs (aren’t we all?), Una has enjoyed sharing and exploring different ways to make these experiences fun and entertaining for all involved.
